It was such a joy to participate in the grand opening of the Danone North America Headquarters in Louisville, CO this September.
Pat unveiled a 17’ x 60’ mural designed around the word “GROW” that celebrates Danone’s 100+ year legacy in nutrition and global health while looking ahead towards future innovations. Their mission is to bring health through food to as many people as possible, and this mural is a tribute to the nurturing process that begins in the Louisville food science laboratories and ultimately helps feed communities around the world.
The design is filled with references to Danone’s iconic product lines, including a water drop to represent Evian mineral water, the use of a light purple palette taken from the Light + Fit product line, geometric stems and vibrant greens to highlight plant-based products and an “O” that mimics the look of a yogurt lid as seen from above.
“Our theme for the [grand opening] event is ‘Seeding the Future,’ which is also the vision for Danone for the next couple of years, and “grow” really became the theme of this mural,” said Annie Settineri, Senior Manager of Corporate Real Estate for Danone North America. “It was probably the easiest design process I’ve ever been through because Pat just nailed it, taking in all of our product colors and ideas and creating all of these really interesting pieces of vegetation.”
Pat also had the chance to lead a live painting session at the grand opening party on September 19th. Employees from all parts of the company – from scientists to office managers, even Danone North America’s President Dan Magliocco – added their own artistic touch to a blank Open Heart canvas. Together, they created a one-of-a-kind piece that reflects each team member and the impact they can have together.
“I felt really honored to produce and paint this for the employees, the community around here and everyone who wants to visit,” Milbery said. “It’s a little reminder every day, when they drive in here, to grow. Every day you can continue to grow, and what they’re growing out of here is impacting so many people on a global level.”
